WALSOKEN GREYHOUND STADIUM

The tiny Norfolk village of Walsoken, some 90 kilometres from Norwich and 22 kilometres from Kings Lynn, is close to Wisbech. Both of these villages had their own greyhound stadium at one time or another, the Walsoken track was situated at 1° 24' W 54° 44' N and was called Wheatley Bank. It was never as successful as Wisbech, but was operating just after the War, but had probably closed by 1947.
